Job Description:


Leidos is looking for an Integration and Test Engineer to support the Housing and Urban Development (HUD) End User Support Services contract.  The successful candidate will be a member of the Engineering team responsible for System Integration, Testing and documentation.

The Integration and Test Engineer role provides technical expertise to System Engineers during planning, design, development, and integration tasks. This individual is responsible for verification and validation requirements for new or upgraded hardware or software implementations. This role supports systems implementation and upgrades including documenting system application requirements, system interfaces, and data sources; and, supporting technical planning, development, integration, and verification and validation. This role translates customer roadmaps, enterprise epics, and strategic requirements into detailed requirements and actionable test use cases.  Flexible cross training capability to include providing systems engineering, integration training, security, and testing tasks as required.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Mapping application/hardware requirements to existing and new test cases

  • Create test plan and procedures for functional, systems integration, regression testing, and test automation

  • Contribute significantly to technical planning, system hardware-software-network design, development and integration, verification and validation, and fielding activities.

  • Contribute significantly to evaluations of technological alternatives including cost and risk, supportability and analyses for total systems; works with team to resolve complex multi-domain systems issues.

  • Perform systems requirements analysis, functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition, technical management, integration, system testing, and quality assurance

  • Perform automation tasks through scripting and testing

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in software engineering/development, computer science, information technology, and 2 years of progressive IT experience focusing on Systems Engineering and Integration Testing. An additional 4 years of experience and/or relevant certifications will be considered in lieu of degree. A relevant Master’s degree with limited experience will also be considered.

  • Knowledge of the Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) with direct experience supporting all phases

  • Experience in installation and testing of the Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) applications to include Microsoft Office 365, Kofax PDF Advance, Acrobat PDF Reader, and Microsoft Chromium

  • At least 4 years of experience in the usage and operation of Windows operating systems, servers and clients. (Windows server 2012/2016 and Windows 10)

  • Experience with stress testing tools (Selenium, Load Runner and/or Python)

  • Ability to troubleshoot code

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work well in a team setting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience developing technical documentation including requirements, system designs, test procedures,  transition plans and operation concept documents

  • Previous full cycle Integration and Test experience

  • Prior experience with HUD

Must be able to pass a HUD Public Trust background investigation. Due to contract requirements, U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Residence status is required.
