Leidos Enterprise & Cyber Solutions Defense Group has an excellent opportunity for an experienced, self-directed, Virtual Infrastructure (VI) Systems  Engineer.  This position is in support of a Department of Defense (DoD) organization, US EUCOM, located OCONUS in Stuttgart, Germany.  This position is required to travel OCONUS. You must hold an active DOD Secret clearance to qualify.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform data center infrastructure network engineering and design on a geographically dispersed enterprise network.

• Provide engineering efforts in the lifecycle of projects to include documentation, design, build, integrate, transition, implementation, test, and training for transitioned to IT Operations Management.  

• Analyze and provide recommendations for hardware and software life cycle and standardization for the enterprise and recommend best-practice solutions for datacenter and virtual infrastructure technologies.

• Possess a strong engineering background in design, implementation and migration of Data Center technologies to include Cisco NEXUS products, Cisco UCS, Cisco UCS Manager, Fabric Interconnects, NETAPP storage solutions/ SAN configurations, FCOE, VMWARE, ESXi, SNAP mirroring.

• Possess familiarity with private cloud virtualization and virtual networks in VMWare environments using hyperflex solutions to support Citrix VDI environments would be desirable.

• Demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly and succinctly both written and orally, and present products, solutions and ideas in a business-like manner and be experienced in interfacing with customers, client managers and system users.

• Demonstrate ability to work in dynamic fast paced environment that requires team interaction and coordination of efforts including remote site support and/or travel to customer servers and sites as required.

• Provide remote support and/or travel to customer sites as required. 

Basic Qualifications

• BA or BS + 4 years recent specialize, or AA/AS +7 years recent specialized, or a major cert + 7 years recent specialized. or no degree and 11 years of recent specialized experience.

• Must hold active Secret Clearance and be able to obtain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance

• Extensive knowledge of VI environments and the continued operation of a large scale VI deployment

• VMWare Certified Professional – Data Center Virtualization (VPC-DCV)

• CompTIA Security + (IAT Level II or greater)

Preferred Qualifications
•    ITIL v3 or v4 – Foundation
•    Experience with Citrix licensing
•    Microsoft Certified Solutions Engineer (MCSE)
•    Cisco Data Center Certification (CCNA, CCNP)
•    Netapp Certification
•    Adaptable to changing circumstances and operational needs
•    Understanding of Department of Defense Military standards
•    Experience with DoD IT security requirements
•    Proficiency in PowerShell scripting
•    Experience in the evaluation and integration of new technologies into existing environments
•    Demonstrated background troubleshooting complex IT issue
