The AIMES Group at Leidos currently has an opening for a System Administrator to work in our Beavercreek office. 

This is an exciting opportunity where you will work across a range of direct contracts in the dynamic field of Full Motion Video development and deployment, while conducting internal research and development.  We are seeking systems administrators with experience in Linux, Windows, and VMware administration to be engaged in technical planning, systems analysis, system build and integration, software validation, and customer field support (occasional travel and work on customer site will be required). 

     
Primary Responsibilities

  • Deploy and maintain bare metal and VM clients and servers

  • Develop policies and standards related to the use of computing resources, overall strategy, design, implementation, and operational aspects of multiple systems, operating environments, related hardware and/or software

  • Use scripting and automation tools to automate tasks and create efficiencies across entire infrastructure       

  • Perform installation, configuration, and testing of newly delivered software for purposes of integration and release testing, and deployment to customer sites

  • Create/edit documents for system build, installation, operation, maintenance and troubleshooting

  • Perform system analysis to isolate faults in bare metal and virtual environments and for purposes of performance optimization and catastrophe mitigation

  • Create DRs, CRs, and OPS tickets to track software discrepancies 

  • Perform IT security tasks as needed

Basic Qualifications

  • BS and 8-12 years of experience.  Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

  • US citizenship in order to be able to obtain a TS/SCI Security Clearance

  • MS Windows, Linux, and VMware administration experience 

  • Experience in systems integration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex system problems 

  • Experience in writing technical content for maintenance manuals including installation, test, repair, and troubleshooting procedures

  • Experience in LDAP and AD configurations and administration

  • Experience in scripting in Linux and PowerShell

  • Ability to obtain an 8570 Certification within 6 months of hire date

  • Ability to work within a dynamic work environment and the ability to handle multiple tasks at once (multi-task)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Software development build tools and processes (Build Pipeline) 

  • Experience with Puppet, Jenkins, Git, and JIRA  

  • Experience with digital video systems and/or software

  • Familiar with database administration, Java, Perl, or Python
