Job Description:
Leidos is seeking an energetic DevSecOps Engineer to join the Air Force Technical Application Center (AFTAC) US National Data Center (US NDC) team.
The candidate requires a DoD Top Secret SCI eligible security clearance and will work on Patrick AFB, FL.
The DevSecOps Engineer will work side by side with the software, systems, hardware, and operations teams to design, implement, and automating build, release, deployment, monitoring and configuration activities.
A successful candidate will have strong priors around automation design and implementation in real-time systems or high-reliability environments.
Primary Responsibilities
Develop, test and maintain build and deployment for CI/CD pipelines.
Participate and lead efforts in automation, continuous deployment, build, and configuration management.
Actively participate in Engineering Scrum and design meetings to drive quality releases.
Produce and maintain documentation on installations, procedures, and requirements for systems.
Research, suggest, and apply new promising technologies, strategies and ways to solve technical issues.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Active DoD Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility
BS in technical field with 8 years of related experience OR 12 years of experience in lieu of a degree
IAT Level II certification, as defined in the DOD 8570.01 IA Workforce Improvement Program (i.e. CompTIA Security+ certification), must be current or earned within 6 months of hire date.
Knowledge of DoD processes, policies and guidance to include NIST SP 800-53 Rev 4
Working experience with Linux system administration
Working experience with Git
Working experience with virtualized environments
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work in a team environment to include customer and contractor technical team members, end users, and management.
Aptitude to learn new technologies and the ability to perform continuous research and analysis and support technology evaluations.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Familiarity with at least one programming language (i.e. Java) and scripting language (i.e. Python)
Experience supporting a high availability 24x7 mission system
Experience with Kubernetes in a production environment
Experience building out CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tool
Demonstrated general experience of a research, development, information systems engineering or information operations nature and have a demonstrated ability to apply principles and methods of information technology in problems dealing with information security and information assurance.
Experience working with and leading multi-disciplined technical teams.
Experience with configuration management/version control systems and problem tracking system
