The Leidos Defense Group is seeking an experienced System Center Operation Manager (SCOM) Administrator responsible for collaborating with Windows and Linux system administrators, application administrators and developers, internal and external support teams, to determine requirements for thresholds, filters, events, alerts, and dashboards and reporting. This role will also have the responsibility for maintaining integrations from other monitoring solutions that route to/from SCOM or an Orchestrator based workflow, as necessary
Shift Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 to 5:00 PM core hours with occasional after hours’ onsite work to support both a NIPR and SIPR environment.
Position Overview:
Perform administrative tasks and maintenance plans for the entire System Center Operations Manager infrastructure.
Provide application support for the SCOM platform.
Create and maintain monitoring and notification rules.
Create and maintain Linux agent deployment using Ansible or Orchestrator.
Review and update SCOM console security, apply patches, create SCOM console roles and reviews.
Audit and scope customer access to SCOM alerts and data.
Create and install custom Management Packs (MP).
Create custom reports on results of SCOM monitoring, using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) technology.
Configure automated alert responses using scripts or Orchestrator/SMA Operation and Maintenance of SQL Server 2014 – 2016
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree with at least 8+ years of relevant experience Master’s Degree with 6+ years of experience or additional related years of experience is accepted in lieu of a degree.
Experience with the installation and administration of Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2016/2019.
Experience in application/network performance and availability monitoring.
Experience using the Microsoft Windows PowerShell scripting engine to automate tasks with SCOM, Orchestrator and SMA.
Proficient in XML and WMI
Experience with troubleshooting and maintaining SCOM performance, to include data grooming and maintenance jobs.
Knowledge of networking concepts and technologies
This position requires an active DOD Top Secret clearance
Possess DoD 8570.01-M/DoD 8140 Certification IAW established mandate prior to start of work – IAT Level II required (Security+ CE)
Desired:
