The Airborne Sensors and Analytics Division (ASAD) within the Defense Group of Leidos has a dynamic opportunity for a SecDevOps Environment System Administrator on their Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) program. The SecDevOps Environment System Administrator will support and drive a full spectrum of activities specifically focused on maintaining and supporting the UAS Scalable Control Interface (SCI) software integration program. The candidate will join a small but diverse scrum team of subject matter experts from various disciplines. The candidate will be expected to both lead the team through the completion of various system administration objectives and support other teammates in accomplishing team objectives in their area of expertise. Specifically, the system administrator(s) will be responsible for supporting the creation and maintenance of the program AWS SecDevOps environment including Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery Pipelines. The environment being created is new to both the company (Leidos) and the program. Established procedures for creating and maintaining the SecDevOps environment do not exist. As such, the candidate will be expected to perform critical thinking, making decisions and recommending solutions for environment architecture, modifications, improvements, and sustainment to include procedure documentation. This includes working with the various SCI teams to address any production problems during pipeline execution; working with the Configuration Management (CM) team to manage productivity reporting tools (Jira, Confluence, etc…); working with the Software team to provide and support software security scanning tools (Fortify, SonarQube, etc…); working with Leidos corporate security to ensure the UAS SCI tools and data are being processed and stored according to Leidos security requirements. Communication and interpersonal skills are crucial in this role.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Assist the SecDevOps team in engineering, managing and maintaining the SDO environment and CI/CD pipeline to include developing scripts. Coordinate and communicate with US Army UAS stakeholders, end users, and internal & external customer, internal & external SCI teams and leadership.
Interface with Government personnel, subcontractors and management to identify required activities, perform collaborative planning, review deliverables and resolve issues.
Troubleshoot application performance; perform compliance and vulnerability scanning; report generation and analysis; development, implementation and documentation of fix actions; routine maintenance of multiple systems.
Basic qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of related work experience
US citizenship with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance within first 180 days of employment
Experience with CI/CD Pipelines
Experience with Windows Server configuration and troubleshooting
Managing users, groups, systems, permissions and their hierarchy structure
Working in mixed Linux and Windows environments
Writing scripts (i.e. Bash, PowerShell, python etc.) for automation, installation, deployments and configuration on Linux / windows OS
Strong troubleshooting, problem solving, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project and Outlook)
Preferred qualifications:
Experience supporting virtualization and cloud platforms, e.g. VMware and AWS
Experience with containerization (e.g. Docker)
Experience with System, Security, and SecDevOps tools including: Linux, Micro Focus Fortify Software Security Center (SSC) and Static Code Analyzer (SCA), Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Jenkins, and Nexus
AWS certification including solutions architect or SysOps administrator (Associate or Professional level)
Experience with Kubernetes deployment, scaling, and management
