Leidos is seeking a Material Planner Intern in Reston, VA.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Leidos has a job opening for a Material Planner Intern in the Washington Metro Area (Reston, VA). This is an exciting opportunity to learn and gain experience with supply chain strategy and operations in support of programs and projects all across the Civil and Health areas of business. The Material Planner Intern performs assignments in the Technology Innovation and Material Management, Procurement and Enterprise Relationships organization during vacations and short-term breaks from college attendance while enrolled in an accredited degree program.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide material cost estimating support such as collaborating with key stakeholders on requirements for bills of materials, working with suppliers on pricing, and working with senior estimators on developing the necessary artifacts for proposal compliance.
There will also be opportunities to work special projects with multi-functional teams. The most successful candidate will have a desire to be a part of a team, enjoy hard work and learning on the job from a team of other talented professionals.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
-Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain/Logistics, Business Admin, Finance or related field. Minimum GPA 3.0.
-Excellent computer skills (excel/pivot tables and PowerPoint).
-Ability to get a corporate credit card
-Effective verbal and written communications skills.
-The ability to work under tough time constraints
-U.S. Citizenship is required.
