Leidos’ SDA Operation, in conjunction with the TSA, also performs on-call, onsite installation servicing of X- Ray Detection Equipment using leading edge technology to ensure the safety of our clients, customer and passengers.
The Security Detection and Automation Operation is comprised of four divisions to align with our customers’ missions and needs:
Manage the installation, relocation & Decommissioning of customer owned equipment while coordinating with internal technical resources, external vendors / contractors and local sites / facilities. Responsible for planning, organizing, securing and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of assigned project goals and objectives. Duties may include ensuring that all projects run within scope, time, and budget constraints. Identifies, defines and addresses problems which are not immediately evident but typically not complex. Works independently to achieve day-to-day objectives with significant impact on operational results or project deliverables. Requires practical knowledge of the professional discipline, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. Has general understanding of industry practices and standards.
Develop / Lead project schedules
Manage project deliverables
Submit required documentation upon completion of project
Coordinate with project Stakeholders, vendors and customers
Place / track orders for ancillary equipment
Schedule project resources
Ensure project financial expectations / requirements are met
Other duties as required
Education/Training: Engineering degree in related field (industrial, electrical, electronic, mechanical). Equivalence achieved through comparative work and life experience is acceptable (>10 years work experience in a related electrical or mechanical field service role).
Computer literacy; competency in use of all programs within MS Office Suite and aptitude for learning specialized software programs.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience directly involved in project / program management and installation of advanced/integrated electrical and electronic systems and equipment
Knowledge/Skills: Individuals shall possess excellent communications skills and have a strong orientation for customer focus and teamwork. Must be responsive to all customer issues at all times. Must be willing & able to travel at short notice.
Extensive Microsoft Project experience
Experience with Hold Baggage installation projects
TSA project management experience
CAPM or PMP preferred
