Leidos is currently seeking motivated Aviation Production Control Planners to work on the CLS-A program. The CLS-A program currently supports Special Mission Wing (SMW) operations. The ideal candidate will work and travel in between customer sites as needed; customer sites include Kandahar, Kabul and Mazar-e Sharif, Afghanistan. The Production Control Planner is the point of contact for all production control planning, coordination, scheduling requirements and maintenance activities.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Coordinating and prioritizing efforts to support maintenance activities in meeting scheduled maintenance goals and flying hour schedules. This includes all support related to PC-12, MI-17 and Back Shops, as required.
Coordinating all maintenance activities through the maintaining of accurate schedules for each aircraft in maintenance.
Informing the Maintenance Manager of delays, develops mitigation plans, and coordinates with the relevant support elements.
Reviewing of labor and material reports.
Leading / participating in the daily production control status calls with a focus on ensuring parts and material will meet schedule, cost, and operational requirements.
Evaluating impact of late or absent personnel and notifies Maintenance Managers of workaround.
Preparing / presenting status charts in support of program and customer level reviews.
Developing, preparing, coordinating, and integrating all levels of plans and schedules.
Integrating with and across all disciplines to ensure resultant plans and schedules accurately and comprehensively define the actual work content, relationships and durations.
Providing planning and scheduling support to both existing work and potential new work.
Assimilating multiple contract activities into a program Master Schedule.
Provide mentorship to Afghan PC personnel.
Basic qualifications:
High School diploma with at least 5 years of related experience
Candidate must possess an active NACI clearance
Candidate must have experience in the following:
- Coordinating maintenance activities and schedules
- Analyzing maintenance costs
- Leading and/or participating in production control meetings
- Preparing and presenting status updates and customer level reviews
- Developing, preparing, coordinating, and integrating all levels of plans and schedules
Must be knowledgeable and conversant in military maintenance operations, safety, and standardization and inspection procedures
Knowledge of Army publications to include AR 700-138, AR 95-20, DA PAM 738-751 and ATP 3-04.7
As the position location is in Afghanistan, the following requirements need to be met:
US Citizen
Must be able to pass/qualify all CENTCOM CRC medical and training requirements
Active passport with a minimum of 12 months before expiration prior to start date
Visa with multiple entries for 12 months prior to start date
Completion of Customer required International Readiness Certifications prior to deployment
Failure to complete any of these actions within 60 days of accept will result in rescinding of the offer. If the candidate is unable to pass the medical screening after the start date and prior to deployment an immediate administrative termination will be requested.
Preferred qualifications:
FAA Airframe & Powerplant License
Previous experience in Afghanistan conducting aircraft maintenance with Afghans
Experience in Army Production Control position
Prior Warrant Officer (151) or 15 Series Army Senior NCO with PC experience
Experience with both Rotary and Fixed Wing aircraft
