Leidos has an immediate need for a Field Service Technician III in Edmonton, Alberta Canada to support our Security, Detection and Automation business.
Note: This is a Temp to Perm opportunity...
The ideal candidate is a natural born “fixer”, not afraid to tackle any type of repair, big or small. You take great pride in the quality of your workmanship and of those that you work with. Your background in electronics, complex electro-mechanical repair and imaging (X-Ray, CT) technology will separate you from the pack. Being part of a team, your peers will recognize you as an expert and as such, you will have a gift of being able to coach others through challenging service events, making others around you better.
This position requires you to provide remote, third level support to others, via phone and/or email, and to be on-site when the issue and complexity warrants it. You are an excellent communicator, both orally and written. You are an equally skilled listener, capable of working with individuals that may not communicate as well as you. The mastery of this role combines your expert technical skills and exceptional people skills with the internal resources available to you (service manuals, flowcharts and error logs) to provide a timely and successful outcome to an event while at the same time growing the remote technician’s skills.
