Job Description:

The Mission Solutions Operation is seeking a Senior Program Finance Analyst to support a new contract worth over $3B.  This contract is highly dynamic and enables visibility and collaboration with the highest levels of the Operation, Group, and Corporate leadership.  This position reports directly to the MSO Division Finance and Business Operations Senior Manager.  Significant growth opportunities based on performance.

Location:  Reston, VA

Primary Responsibilities:
The Senior Program Finance Analyst will be functionally responsible for the following broad areas:  Responsible for business management and planning for a $3B contract primarily focused on enterprise IT procurement and logistics.  Candidate should have a deep understanding of risk management and quantification and have a passion for growing the business and process improvement.   Sr. Program Finance analyst will be responsible for periodic performance tracking, reporting and problem resolution.  Given the procurement nature of the position, a heavy emphasis will be placed on balance sheet analysis and management along with a focus on cash flow analysis and process improvement.  There will be significant emphasis on process improvement, problem solving, and development of “out-of-the-box” solutions to new problems and challenges.  Analyzes data and prepares accurate and timely information to management in support of decision-making activities. 

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Cash Management expert and balance sheet planning, especially around inventory and AR and process improvement

  • Planning, Tracking and reporting on programs, R&D projects, production forecast, indirect departmental budgets and advising management on optimization efforts

  • Intercompany Work Order management including CONOPS for international business

  • Pursuit tracking including B&P administration and forecasting awards, submits and B2B

  • Review of accruals, revenue recognition and key transactions during period close

  • Division approver of Cost Point purchase requisitions

  • P&L Reports on margin improvement and labor utilization efforts    

Required Education, Skills, Experience, and Clearance:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related discipline plus 8+ years related experience.  

  • Demonstrated knowledge of multiple contract types: FFP, FPLOE, T&M, Cost Plus and hybrid contracts.

  • Has the ability to complete difficult and complex assignments within the programs and portfolios supporting.  

  • Analytical, communication and presentations skills needed as well as being able to operate independently.

  • Commercial experience and experience with revenue recognition a must.

  • Must possess an active TS/SCI security clearance and be willing and eligible to obtain a polygraph.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Leidos financial systems and applications; such as:  Cost Point, Hyperion, OBI, Cognos, Fusion, LPAS, and Cost Point.  

  • Proficient in Microsoft applications; such as: Project, Excel, Power Point and Word.  

  • Manufacturing experience and experience with international business arrangements preferred.
