Job Description:

The NISC IV program is hiring a eDiscovery technology specialist who is eligible for a SECRET CLEARANCE to support the FAA eDiscovery Program. This position is not limited to any particular location in the U.S., with possible travel to locations in the National Capital Region (NCR). Additionally, this position may require up to 25% travel outside of the NCR.

Responsibilities include:

Collect electronically stored information (ESI) from network managed systems to include email artifacts, documents, chats, etc.

Ingest ESI into a data processing platform, performing a workflow to ready the data for review by legal counsel.

Draft, review, and provide feedback on technical investigations policies, procedures, and best practices.

Provide training to customers that utilize our eDiscovery review platform including classroom type settings and one on one question and answer sessions.

Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively to legal counsel and management on program updates, both orally and in writing.

Draft, review, and provide feedback on technical investigations policies, procedures, and best practices in order to aid in the develop of processes, procedures, and techniques for the eDiscovery Program.

Perform eDiscovery functions in alignment with the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) framework and standard including data collection, data processing, data review, production, and presentation.

Create and review eDiscovery reports using various eDiscovery platforms.

Develop and manage relationships with internal/external stakeholders.

Independently plan, organize, and execute the steps necessary to obtain useful electronically stored information (ESI) from various data sources.

Use eDiscovery knowledge along with abilities of a wide variety of advance computer technologies and theories. Maintain an understanding of computer network architecture to identify data sources and collection techniques.

Coordinate with others in eDiscovery disciplines, internal and external to the FAA, to stay abreast of the developments within the discipline.

Prepare formal written eDiscovery reports clearly stating the results of analysis ensuring accuracy and adequacy. Ensure accuracy and adequacy of all eDiscovery requests performed and reporting; ensure all practices are consistent with acceptable practices in the eDiscovery community, and monitor quality standards at each stage in the EDRM.

Communicate effectively with legal and FOIA offices and maintain a familiarity of legal requirements for eDiscovery.

Process data using the NUIX platform and other eDiscovery tools.

Qualifications:

Typically requires BS and 4 – 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 – 6 years of prior relevant experience.

Relevant experience should include 2 years of administering technology software systems of any size.

Experience with how corporate or enterprise technology systems work, such as email exchanges, email archives, cloud storage, file directories, etc.

Perform system administrator duties for platforms with multiple users having various roles, to include (but not limited to) creating new users, editing/auditing user roles, assign group permissions, configure and maintain systems.

Experience with Nuix eDiscovery tools is highly preferred but not necessary.

Ability to train small groups on how to use a customer facing tool.

Proficient in documenting processes and policies.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Experience with Microsoft O365 a plus.

Has attention to detail and can complete assigned tasks independently, quality checking work at each step.

Excellent communication skills both written and oral.

Ability to obtain a Secret level Security Clearance
