Leidos is seeking an experienced Personnel Security Administrator (PSA) to support a customer within the Department of Defense (DOD) located in the Greater Washington D.C. Metropolitan area. In this role, you will be leading part of a consolidated Personnel Security Department, consolidating and managing files from various sites, processing clearance activities, assisting the Branch Chief and providing day to day direction of Security Specialist to ensure inspections, reviews, investigations, and other reportable issues are compliant and within a timely manner. Responsible for the overall maintenance of the security program to include creating, coordinating, and implementing security policies and procedures pertaining to the safeguarding of classified information according to the customer’s security SOP.
Primary Responsibilities
Lead PSA responsible for maintaining Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS), Defense Information System for Security (DISS), and internal personnel security databases.
Subject matter expertise on solving complex security related issues in support of the customers adjudication and suitability for continued service program.
Train and review functional staff support across all functional security areas to assure the maintenance of records, files, and prepares briefings and reports are prepared IAW standard industry and customer practices.
Preparing Program Access Requests (PAR), badge requests, and processing System Authorization Access Requests (SAAR).
Ability to utilize reach-back support to a number of industry and Government partners to develop and strategic partnerships in support of the customers SAP program.
Aid in conducting annual document inventories, self- inspections, staff assistance visits at Government locations; prepares courier authorization letters and cards.
Administer foreign travel/foreign contact program as it applies to office personnel; process and maintain Non-Disclosure agreements (NDAs), and SAP Forms.
Conducts himself/herself in a professional manner and a high sense of integrity, working in a stressful and fast-paced environment.
Outstanding customer service and communication skills while interfacing daily with senior executives (SES), senior ranking military officers, and other military and civilian personnel internal and external to the customer’s organization.
Responsible for ensuring appropriate security and administrative procedures are followed for entrance into secured spaces; assist in performing entry/exit inspections, visit processing, and escorting.
Basic Requirements
Have a Top-Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility (Adjudicated within the last 3 years).
Minimum of 5 years of security experience as a junior security specialist with a High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
Experience with SAPs, JPAS, eQIP, DISS, and SIMS database.
Experience in writing, editing, and managing executive correspondence.
Experience with emergency action (EA) plans and programs.
Experience-producing, handling, storing, transmitting, and transporting classified materials, up to and including Top Secret, SAP, and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
Extensive knowledge and experience supporting Special Access Programs (SAP), developing security plans, and developing detailed OPSEC procedures.
Ability to work independently and be a self-starter, as well as a solid group contributor working in a fast-paced environment
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office suite tools.
