Leidos is seeking a Subcontracts Administrator Intern in Reston, VA.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Health Group at Leidos currently has an opening for a procurement intern to work at Leidos Headquarters in Reston, VA. This is an opportunity for a Supply Chain Management major to experience procurement first-hand. The Health Group Procurement Enterprise support missions that make a difference for our military as well as our communities by subcontracting with both large and small businesses on contracts for Military Veterans, Health and Human Services, Social Security Administration, and others. The position will give the intern hands-on experience of cradle-to-grave procurement.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The intern will work with Procurement Professionals to establish a database for categorizing and segmenting the current supply base. Data compiled will include supplier differentiators and capabilities. In conjunction with developing a database, the intern will create a questionnaire, an initial design for an internal webpage for compiled data, and a process for a subcontractor ecosystem management, a training plan for stakeholders, presentation to brief procurement leadership, and a communication plan. Other duties may include issuing non-disclosure agreements, and performing administrative tasks such as maintaining filing structures for purchase orders.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
-Pursuing a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university with a Minimum GPA 3.0.
-Strong analytical and problem solving skills with an ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
-Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
-Ability to quickly comprehend processes and learn systems and tools
-Ability to be accountable and professional while maintaining effective interpersonal (written, verbal and presentation) skills while managing multiple priorities and tasks
-Internship positions will be located in the Washington D.C Metro Area (WMA) including Northern Virginia cities such as Reston, Chantilly, Vienna, etc. Some positions may be located in MD cities such as Gaithersburg, Baltimore, Frederick, and Columbia.
