The Leidos Health Group is seeking to fulfill the requirement for a self-motivated and detail-oriented Behavioral Scientist, contingent upon contract award, in Atlanta, GA.
This position is responsible for conducting studies of the behavioral aspects of public health issues for a large public health surveillance program. Provide professional behavioral science expertise in the design of complex surveys, conduct, and lead studies to isolate and define the behavioral aspects contributing to public health issues and problems. Will serve as a behavioral scientist expert analyst in developing and evaluating public health surveillance programs and evaluate effectiveness of public health programs by measuring and assessing the extent of behavioral change. Produce and review protocols for epidemiological studies, study protocols, and other data collection methods. Develop guidelines for consistency in reporting, and data management and collection. Perform other duties as assigned
Conducting systematic research and analysis of a longitudinal study,
Conduct and manage research on health and analyze subsequent results
Develop new methods and techniques to solve scientific and public health issues and problems
Serve as technical consultant/expert on scientific committees
Advise leadership regarding behavioral science implications
Coordinate research efforts with related and interested stakeholders
Bachelor’s Degree preferably in behavioral science, psychology, clinical psychology, or sociology with 4-8 years of experience or MS degree and 2-8 years of experience.
Successful behavioral scientists will have strong analytical and organizational skills and experience with creating databases, analyzing data, and writing formal research reports is essential.
Requires ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
