More About the Role:
Leidos is seeking a Project Manager-Senior to support efforts for Service Management, Integration, and Transport (SMIT) supporting the largest IT services program for the Navy. The Leidos team will deliver the core backbone of the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet NMCI), including cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk, and data transport. Ultimately, Leidos will support the Navy in unifying its shore-based networks and data management to improve capability and service while also saving significant dollars by focusing efforts under one enterprise network.
Leidos is seeking a Project Manager-Senior to act as the "Operations Seam Design Lead” to support the multi-vendor/multi-contract (MVMC) service environment to manage, coordinate and collaborate across Service Providers for Contracts supporting and providing Services or Operations to the NMCI network to ensure efficient and effective services.
SEAMs are interactions, or relationships, that span across organizational boundaries and require cross-organizational and/or cross-function relationships to identify and resolve MVMC contractual issues with task and functional leaders, subcontractors, and support personnel.
What You'll Get to Do:
•Collaborate with Performance Work Statement (PWS) leads to further define known information into a Seams Management matrix outlining the two organizations of the seam and the intersecting point.
•Plan and organize the Seams in the SMIT MVMC environment and ensure that the associated work is meeting program schedules and budgets.
•Lead a team of Operations Seam Coordinators to ensure that all Seams in the SMIT MVMC environment are identified and have contractual (Associate Contractor Agreement) ACAs in place.
•Ensure that the MVMC Seams are invisible to program execution but when problems occur, coordinate and collaborate with the various stakeholders to determine the root cause of the issue, and its extent (systemic or localized), and provide resolution.
•Coordinate engineering or execution issues with technical teams; contracts issues require coordination with contracts manager or the PMO.
•Make significant improvements in programs, processes, and solutions to enhance results.
•Communicate with internal team members across multiple areas and client team members.
•Provide seamless service delivery, an ever-improved user experience, and reduced risk of disruption to mission support or important technology initiatives.
•Influence project/team leaders regarding solution design, process and/or approaches.
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
•Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, or related field with 8+ years of experience or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, or related field with 6+ years of experience.
•Four (4)+ years of experience leading engineering teams.
•Specialized experience in a single discipline such as assembly/integration, cross-discipline functions, data engineering, industry expertise, knowledge engineering or legacy evolution.
•Must be a U.S. Citizen.
•Must have a DoD Secret Clearance.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
•Master’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, or related field.
•Experience in leading engineering and operations functions across a broad-range of programs with increasing responsibility.
•Experience with Navy/Marine Corps, Defense Information System Agency (DISA), and Joint interoperability of network design, integration, and implementation.
•Certified ITIL V4.
•Experience conducting deep dives and assessing Root Cause Analysis resulting in improved stability and operational performance.
