Job Description:

The Government Health and Safety Solutions Operation currently has an opening for a Task Manager/Operations Coordinator to support Centers for Diseases Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta, GA.

This position is contingent upon contract award.


The successful candidate will serve as the Task Manager responsible for organizing, directing, and managing multiple aspects of project execution for a portfolio of a public health surveillance program. Serves as task/data manager for complex task orders management personnel.  Responsible for the overall management of the specific task order and ensuring that the requirements and schedules in the task order are being fully supported in a timely manner. In collaboration with the program manager and other team members, the task manager will provide direction of project activities, manage and maintain interface with customer organization, consult with customer and contractor personnel to formulate and review task plans and deliverables, ensure conformance with program and project task schedules and costs and contractual obligations. The task manager will establish and provide technical and financial reports to show progress of projects to management and customers, organize and assign responsibilities to subordinates, monitor issue resolution & risk mitigation, oversee the successful completion of all assigned tasks, ensure quality deliverables, and the accomplishment of program mission.

This project requires strong organizational and management skills expertise. Escalates problems in accordance with established procedures.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Create and enforce policies for effective task management
  • Devise and implement efficient and secure procedures for evaluating the effectiveness of tasks with attention to all technical aspects of the project
  • Establish rules and procedures for communication with upper management, external stakeholders etc.
  • Experience in the collection of qualitative and quantitative data through various sources and methods such as interviews, focus groups, literature reviews, database queries.
  • Expertise in completing project tasks and reporting.
  • Assist with reports and data extraction when needed
  • Monitor and analyze information and data systems and evaluate their performance to discover ways of enhancing them (new technologies, upgrades etc.)
  • Troubleshoot problems and risk management for task

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in health services research, public health, social science, business plus 5 years of relevant experience.
 

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with statistical data analysis and use of data analysis tools
