Leidos is seeking a Network Monitoring Specialist, Computer Security Systems Specialist Lead for a position as part of a team supporting the Defense Information Security Agency (DISA) onsite in Pensacola, FL. This is a full-time position that must work on site. No full-time telework is allowed.
This position supports UCSA Open Platform Sensor Task. The Network Monitoring Specialist will be the Service Owner for Open Platform Sensor who shall help create, document, and maintain an Open Platform Sensor Service Design Plan (SDP) that defines all aspects of the service throughout all stages of its lifecycle. The SDP shall be updated anytime there is a change to the architecture, financial posture or requirements of the service. The Service Owner shall be the primary internal and external Subject Matter Expert for the service they are assigned to manage. They shall be aware at all times on the state of their service and report on that status to the Government as required. The Service Owner shall work with all other ITIL UCSA business managers to ensure that their service is providing value to the UCSA program and its mission partners and users.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Performing all required network, system and storage related administration for the Open Platform Sensor program. All Open Platform Sensor instances together within the UCSA currently consist of 30 servers, 20 network devices and 10 storage devices. Open sensor platform is not currently virtualized.
Installing hardware (if Government waiver is approved), installing virtual components as systems, installing servers, installing operating systems, installing software, uninstalling software, monitoring systems and processes, patching operating systems and software applications, installing network devices, configuring network devices, patching network devices, monitoring network devices, installing storage and database systems, patching storage and database systems, configuring and tuning system processes, and troubleshooting and resolving problems with Open Sensor Platform.
Analyzing and defining security requirements for Multilevel Security (MLS) issues.
Designing, developing, engineering and implementing solutions to MLS requirements.
Responsible for the implementation and development of the MLS.
Gathering and organizing technical information about an organization's mission goals and needs, existing security products, and ongoing programs in the MLS arena.
Performing risk analyses which also includes risk assessment.
Providing technical support for secure software development and integration tasks, including reviewing work products for correctness and adhering to the design concept and to user standards.
Analyzing and recommending resolution of security/IA problems on the basis of knowledge of the major IA products and services, an understanding of their limitations, and knowledge of the IA disciplines.
Providing daily supervision and direction to staff.
Bachelor's of Arts or Bachelor's of Science in a technical discipline; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Can be waived if approved by the Prime.
Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience. Can be waived if approved by the prime contractor.
Knowledgeable of Security/Information Assurance (IA) products such as PKI, VPN, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
Qualified IA Personnel IAW DoD8570/DoD 8140, minimum of IAT II.
Active Secret Clearance Required with ability to obtain a Top Secret.
Must be a U.S. Citizen
