Leidos is seeking qualified candidates in a proposal effort to join our Engineering and Technical Support team, who will manage enterprise operations and deliver IT architecture modernization in support of the Department of the Navy. If awarded to Leidos, positions would be available in the Washington, DC Metro area and other locations across the US and abroad.

Network management includes building, installing, operating, maintaining and managing ONI networks to allow 24 x 7 uninterrupted service to users located in the NMIC facility, Naval Support Facility-Arlington (NSF-A), Pentagon/N2 and the Disaster Recovery/Continuity of Operations (DR/COOP) sites. Although there are users at sites other than the NMIC facility, all work supporting network management will occur in the NMIC facility. Supported networks operate primarily on Cisco and Gigabit Ethernet technology. These networks support voice over internet (VOIP), secure and non-secure telephony, cable television (CATV), approximately 350 servers, and approximately 4700 workstations. ONI networks include the following: multiple SCI and virtual private networks, private enclaves on Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNet), Non-secure Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPRNet), and unique mission oriented local area networks (LAN).
Responsibilities include the following:
Build, install, configure, operate, maintain and manage ONI networks.
Install, configure, and maintain network cabling; move or add cabling; troubleshoot cable plant problems; configure, install and troubleshoot network switches; and maintain cable and network documentation and drawings.
Operate, maintain and manage ONI networks, providing continuous cable plant auditing, taking action to prevent degraded performance, identifying network slow-downs, determining their causes and taking action to resolve them when they occur.
Take action to prevent outages and provide troubleshooting and problem resolution when outages occur.
Perform network configuration management and associated documentation for established and newly installed networks and insure the data in the network CM database is accurate and up to date.
Provide logistic support, tracking and managing network consumables inventory, advising the Government when items need to be ordered, and process failed components for return to the manufacturer.
Follow Government Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), shall insure all work is in compliance with ONI standard operating procedures and applicable standards, and is in compliance with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), and Department of Navy applicable information assurance and security policies, bulletins, and guides.
High School Diploma with 5 or more years of network administration experience; and 5 or more years of network management systems administration (e.g Extahop, Solarwinds, EM7, HP Openview, etc).
Must have an active Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
IAT Level Certifications; at least one of the following: CISCO Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Security+.
