Job Description:

The C4ISR Operation at Leidos currently has an opening for a Business Manager to work in our Reston, VA office. This is an opportunity to work directly and collaboratively with the C4ISR Operation’s front office staff and support functions to execute the operation’s business rhythms, be exposed to the breadth and depth of the Operations’ programs, pursuits, growth strategies, and other activities, as well as support projects that support both the Operation and Defense Group’s business plans.  In addition to helping ensure the smooth operation of the Operation, the BAM will particularly focus on executing the implementation plan for the C4ISR strategy.

The Business Manager will be assigned special tasks from time-to-time that involve cross-operation or cross-company responsibilities. These special tasks may include such things as helping the operation implement new policies, solving difficult/complex problems, responding to special data calls, and collaborating with other Leidos groups.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ensuring effective & efficient execution of C4ISR Operations Business rhythms. 

  • Effective execution of miscellaneous projects related to Operation and Group business priorities. 

  • Work with business area leads and senior technical staff to develop and execute strategy-to-action plans

  • Designated delegate for Operations Manager in many administrative systems.

  • Lead problem solving activities that affect programs across the division

  • Lead or participate in program execution reviews, capture process reviews, and proposal color reviews

  • Lead or support captures and proposal writing as required

Basic Qualifications

  • Requires a BA/BS or equivalent experience and 12+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10+ years or prior relevant experience.

  • Generally has 7+ years of experience supervising or leading teams or projects.

  • Must have significant proven history of successful contract program management.

  • The candidate must have a deep working knowledge of the government contracting industry

  • Demonstrated history of personnel leadership, collaboration, executive communication, political acumen, relationship building, self motivation

  • Be able to obtain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance

  • Be able to travel up to 10%

Preferred Qualifications

  • Functional experience in either BD, Finance, Contracts. 

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • Ability to work in Northern, VA
