Leidos is seeking to hire a Technical Computing Software Engineer to work in the Naval Hydrodynamics branch at our San Diego office.
In this position you will apply your expertise and creativity to develop software implementations of complex signal processing algorithms to drive high throughput data processing. Working with a team of scientists and engineers, you will contribute to new solutions for nationally important problems in defense.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Implement advanced signal processing and machine learning algorithms for processing large volumes of remote sensing data
Optimize software for high-volume data analysis, real-time processing throughput, and robust performance on advanced hardware platforms.
Analyze existing algorithms and software to develop improvements in fidelity, sensitivity, and efficiency
Provide robust, scalable, configured software solutions in full-stack software development and deployment environments
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
B.S. degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated experience in full-stack software development and deployment
Required on-site full-time work in San Diego, CA
Current US citizenship with ability to obtain top secret clearance
DESIRED SKILLS:
C/C++, Python, Cuda, Matlab
Machine learning frameworks and cloud computing
Entire software stack, spanning algorithm implementation, C/C++/Cuda coding and debugging, configuration and deployment, and throughput optimization
High performance computing implementations for signal detection, false alarm rejection, environmental estimation, and feature classification
Knowledge of data structures, memory management, Unix and shell scripting
