Leidos is seeking a Systems Engineer to provide engineering and project support for its flagship content production and dissemination platform. This position is located in the Mclean, VA area and requires an active TS/SCI with Polygraph in order to be considered.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience identifying and analyzing user IT-related requirements, procedures, and problems to provide recommendations for mitigation strategies and alternative software. They will be responsible for reviewing the existing system’s capabilities and workflows, including system scheduling limitations, to provide comprehensive systems engineering support that enhances operational capabilities. Additional responsibilities will include identifying opportunities to automate the existing production and dissemination system; facilitating business requirement understanding with developers, technical and database architects; and performing process modeling in support of planning and analysis efforts.
Requires BS degree and 12 – 15 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10 – 13 years of prior relevant experience. May possess a Doctorate in technical domain.
Demonstrated experience using web applications in Firefox and Chrome.

Demonstrated experience translating business needs into actionable technical requirements.
Demonstrated experience writing requirements on an Agile software development program.
Demonstrated experience performing data entry.

Demonstrated experience identifying, analyzing and implementing scalable solutions for optimizing operational efficiency of production systems and processes.
Demonstrated experience with requirements tracking.
Demonstrated experience using the JIRA management tool.
Demonstrated experience with the creation, coordination, collaboration, review, and visual production processes of mission content management system.
Demonstrated experience communicating requirements to software developers.
Demonstrated experience creating, drafting, and reviewing program documentation.
Demonstrated experience in problem resolution to include organizing and structuring solutions to complex problems.
Demonstrated experience planning projects.
Demonstrated experience developing contingency plans.
Demonstrated experience producing schedules.
Demonstrated experience working with Project Management Framework.
Demonstrated experience or knowledge of mission needs and operations.
