Job Description:

Leidos has an opportunity for a Senior Web/Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator in San Antonio, TX.  The candidate will serve as the Blackboard System Admin, Genius SIS System Admin, and AWS System Admin to manage the LMS, AWS, and Web servers for the Air Force Cryptologic Office (AFCO). They will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of the AFCO’s LMS, including maintenance, support, and training.  They will coordinate with the Advanced Analysis and Training Branch to create new programs/ courses, and drive improvements/innovations related to the delivery of AFCO programs. The candidate will be detail-oriented, creative, innovative, and have a commitment to quality. The LMS Administrator will continually enhance and improve learning environments used by AFCO and investigate ways to can improve efficiencies through integrations, plug-ins, and other system add-ons. This role requires hands-on implementation, integration, and administration.  Additionally, the candidate will look for ways to improve the student/user experience as they are engaged in learning.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
o Responsible for administrating the LMS platform, and assisting other LMS Administrators, Instructors, and Students to execute in the Blackboard/Genius SIS environment.
o Serve as the focal point of contact for Blackboard Learn and Genius SIS users
o Manage  day-to-day operations and maintenance of the LMS by collaborating with a team of eLearning and development/production professionals including maintaining the LMS content quality, version control and archival information.
o Provide end-user troubleshooting, issue remediation, technology request assistance and escalation management. Monitors recurring issues, system/data or process gaps; identify sources for efficiencies/enhancements
o Develop, build and maintain all elements related to LMS functionality, including but not limited to content integrations and creation, curriculum programs, LMS structure, and reporting.
o Develop standardized LMS operational processes and procedures, guidelines and documentation and ensure LMS governance model is being followed.
o Identify new interfaces and features for LMS applications.
o Analyze user data for gaps and areas of focus
o Collaborate with end-users to improve business operations and administrative functions.
o Lead/manage the integration of new e-learning applications.
o Create user logins and manage user permissions and roles.
o Create and manages user structures including the creation of user groups and learning cohorts.
o Manage course enrollment including progress tracking.
o Build and maintain  AFCO LMS integrations, components, plug-ins and connected products (ex. Amazon Web Services, API integration).

o Responsible for cPanel & WHM for Linux located in AWS
o Serve as the POC to Student Services personnel who perform daily/regular functions within the LMS.
o Lead technical research/development to enable continuing innovation within the LMS infrastructure.
o Manage LMS vendor relationship and stays abreast of all software updates/enhancements, performs advanced review of release notes and conducts proper testing of all features prior to rollout in
o Oversee all system administrator tasks on learning management systems.
o Use various technologies  in the delivery of instructional and/or interactive programs and courses..
o Collaborate with the application development team to determine what training to develop/deliver.
o Manage training projects relating to LMS improvement, course delivery, and content creation.
o Provide LMS training and support to internal and external staff, students, and users.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
o TS/SCI Clearance
o Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
o 10+ years of relevant experience.
o Depth of knowledge in both the overall Blackboard LMS Administrator tasks and Genius SIS Administrator tasks, o Must have Administrator Experience in Blackboard Learn, Genius SIS and AWS
o Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in web software (ex. WordPress) development and design, including responsive design and understanding of full software development lifecycle
o Proficiency in the use of the following web technologies and toolsets: cPanel & WHM, WordPress, JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, PHP, MySQL, Articulate Storyline
o Ability to work independently
o Understanding of eLearning standards including SCORM, AICC, and xAPI
o MUST have demonstrated expertise and proficiency with LMS/CMS system

   Experience with cloud-based applications
o Knowledge of database software or relational database theory; experience using Blackboard data (loading data into Snowflake)
 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
o Coursework and/or certification relating to learning management systems administration is preferred
o Ability to provide a portfolio of projects and/or case studies is a plus
o Knowledge of design principles, patterns, and design with an eye for web typography, color, and layout
o Knowledge of the practical capabilities of HTML/CSS/JS
o Content Design and/or Content Management Experience (UI/UX)
