Job Description:

Leidos is seeking a Program Manager to oversee the Intel Dev/Ops Lab in Reston, VA.

The selected candidate will oversee the Intel DevOps Lab(IDOL), Leidos Intel’s state-of-the-art software development and engineering facility in Reston, VA.    Extending the Leidos Software Factory model, and with a peak capacity of approximately 250 SW developers, testers, and engineers,  IDOL will support the design, development, and testing of software solutions and incorporate the development, customer demonstration and research capabilities of the MSO ANNEX team.     Systems and capabilities developed at IDOL will support a wide range of customer requirements and research priorities for our customers including mission software, digital transformation, cyber, mobile, and leading edge application of AI and ML techniques to enhance mission and analytical software systems.   Combining the best practices of lab environments and customer understanding, IDOL will focus on delivery of software products into customer environments, research and development, and skill development for our engineering workforce in strategic technical areas.     The IDOL Director primary responsibilities will include:

  • Create a DevOps business model that will support Intel customer priorities and effectively partner with other Leidos groups to advance customer and Leidos capabilities

  • Build and maintain a culture of innovation in software engineering, cyber, AI/ML, cloud, and mobile software development

  • Attract and build a  workforce skilled in S/W development, mobile platforms, cyber, networking, digital transformation, and mission critical software systems

  • Develop collaborative  partnerships with the Leidos software factories to foster rapid and continual engineering process improvement

  • Oversee creation of effective and seamless approaches for low to high software delivery

  • Develop partnerships with Intel programs and business development components to market Leidos capabilities in the IDOL Customer Engagement Center

  • Create and maintain an intern program to identify new talent and enable organic growth through universities and colleges

Required Education, Skills, and Experience:

  • Must have an active clearance with the US Government sponsor (TS/SCI)

  • BA/BS or equivalent experience and 12+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10+ years of prior relevant experience.  Generally has 7+ years of experience supervising or leading teams or program teams or projects.

  • Experience as a PM

  • Ability to oversee and profitably execute a portfolio of software projects representing diverse stakeholders/clients under various contract structures (e.g. completion)

  • Proven experience migrating systems from legacy to cloud environments and leveraging cloud services

  • Proven experience simultaneously leading and overseeing multiple project teams

  • Proven experience supporting new business development to include customer engagement and proposal development

  • Experience developing new technical capabilities from idea generation through to customer demonstration

  • Experience hiring, developing junior technical personnel to include development of curriculum/technology paths

  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with other subject matter experts from across the company, industry, and customer organizations

  • Strong communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • TS/SCI clearance with Poly

  • Experience supporting classified development programs

  • Experience in multi-cloud hybrid environments

  • Familiarity with at least one of the following: Cyber capabilities, practical application of AI/ML, Digital Modernization

  • Familiarity with SecDevOps, continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
