Job Description:

The Defense Group at Leidos currently has an opening for an Operations Analyst with a DoD Secret clearance. This position will be responsible for providing oversight and integration support of existing hardware, software, and new system initiatives for the Automated Logistics Management Support System (ALMSS) Office at Robins AFB. This position will report to the Leidos ALMSS Customer Site Lead in Warner Robins, GA.

Basic Qualifications:

Must possess or be able to obtain DoD secret clearance. 

Must have BS degree and 4+ years of prior relevant experience, or additional experience in lieu of degree.

Must possess latest CompTIA Security + Certification (required).

Must be able to work with minimal daily direction in a fast-paced, demanding, and fluid environment.

Candidate must possess strong problem solving and analytical skills. 

Candidate must be highly organized with great attention to detail. 

Exceptional written communication skills and interpersonal skills to frequently interact with all levels of the organization and external customers are essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledgeable of the IBM V7R3 version upgrade and PTF application process. Understanding of the DMZ/DB server environment and the necessary network requirements and processes to establish connectivity between the IBM i servers per DoD guidelines. Familiarization with DoD requirements for submitting network/firewall change requests. Ability to execute IBM i Operating System commands at a system administrator level. Understanding of Hardware Maintenance Console.

Primary Responsibilities:

Review IBM i Power7/9 architecture options and the hardware upgrade process. Conduct research and analysis that employs a combination of advanced operations research methods. Analyze and communicate current and future operating systems and database management system structures. Coordination with customer business process owners and various technology teams to ascertain/develop technical requirements and user acceptance testing relating to system functions including but not limited to new software and hardware acquisition. Requisite requirement is the ability to immediately contribute to the process of preparing and delivering analytical products and brief government customers on research and findings. Interact with Government customers in meetings and seminars. Perform scheduled ALMSS system data managing responsibilities as well as monitor information flow between partnered AF/DOD logistical systems. Conduct daily, monthly, quarterly, and end of year ALMSS system processing procedures.
