Leidos is seeking a Command Center GDA Specialists, to support efforts for NMCI SMIT; NMCI SMIT is the largest IT services program for the Navy. Under the Service Management, Integration, and Transport portion of NMCI SMIT, the Leidos team will deliver the core backbone of the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet, including cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk, and data transport. Ultimately, Leidos will support the Navy in unifying its shore-based networks and data management to improve capability and service while also saving significant dollars by focusing efforts under one enterprise network.
Responsible for life cycle management of all Government Directed Actions (GDA’s) delivered by Naval Network Warfare Command (NNWC) This includes but is not limited to the acknowledgement, tasking, follow-up, resolution and queue management of all GDA’s.
Provide oversight on GDA process to ensure ITSM processes are followed. Will not only be overseeing the process but they will be involved in the monitoring/reporting/corrective actions based on our SLR deliverables.
Oversees quality control of GDA handling. Ensuring all process and procedures based on our GDA Policies and processes are followed. Ensuring that GDA’s are executed following all ITSM processes and that impacts are reported and that we meet our SLR’s.
Act as a Liaison to the Government Customer and designated leaders for Day to Day GDA activities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.
Build relationships with other internal teams and customers.
Hosts daily GDA status calls.
Host and participate in various operational calls providing GDA situational awareness.
Takes escalations from internal capabilities and external government representatives pertaining to issues identified and requiring action.
Ensures Leadership is apprised of all details regarding any significant issues involving GDA challenges.
Creates Microsoft Excel spreadsheets to assign and track GDA efforts for the Command Center, Capabilities and Government representatives.
Creates PowerPoint slide decks as needed for briefing input.
Ensures the timely acknowledgement (5 minutes or less) to GDA’s delivered by NNWC.
Develop or update standard operating procedures, and processes, and assist in the implementation as part of the Continuous Service Improvement initiative for the Command Center and Network Operations Center.
Participate in strategic network and operations planning.
BS and 2-4 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2-6 years of prior relevant experience in Cybersecurity, Information Security, IT, EE, Network Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
Additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
US Citizen and DoD Secret Clearance
8570 Compliant meeting the IAT level certification requirements.
Familiarity with ITIL best practices (ITIL Foundations)
Experience in a data center environment
Hands-on Experience in working with DoD networks, including NIPR and SIPR
Willing to support flexible hours during prime time business hours.
Day shift 5, M-F
Prior military experience a plus; USMC or USN IT experience preferred
Experience working with networking technologies and data centers
Exceptional communication abilities, both verbal and written, including long-form business writing on complex topics

Ability to define program goals and roadmaps based on customer needs and strategic direction, and ensure that committed projects are delivered on schedule by the relevant team members
