Leidos Public Health Division is seeking qualified Data Standardization Specialists in Atlanta, GA, contingent upon contract award.
Responsible for performing tasks relating to Database Management System (DBMS) applications, including definition, design, structure, documentation, upgrades, long-range requirements, operational guidelines, and protection. Duties include database modeling and design, relational database architecture, metadata and repository creation. Uses data mapping, data mining and data transformational analysis tools to design and develop databases. Support duties may include entering and reviewing data within the database, ensuring user data integrity, maintaining database support tools, database tables and dictionaries, recovery and back-up procedures, and making recommendations regarding enhancements and/or improvements.
Follow CDC change management processes as defined by the OCIO applications hosting team to support deployment of applications and systems to CDC development, staging, testing, and production environments. Backup procedures, change management processes and other security provisions should be established, and followed. The contractor shall work with developers to ensure that all applications meet standards and specifications, coordinate the deployment of applications with the OCIO hosting team in the appropriate environment and maintain version control between releases. The contractor shall be able to troubleshoot computer and network problems that arise in order to ensure productivity. The contractor must use automated repeatable processes, compliance and security testing, and track software and component versions used across the platform to proactively ensure compliance with CDC IT and security policies
Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 5 years of related work experience.
