Leidos is seeking an experienced Personnel Security Specialist to support efforts for the Service Management, Integration, and Transport (SMIT) contract. The candidate will work as part of a multi-functional security project team to facilitate and oversee security actions related to a fast paced, highly visible program supporting the US Navy and Marine Corp. Under SMIT the Leidos team will deliver the core backbone of the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet, including cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk, and data transport. Ultimately, Leidos will support the Navy and Marine Corp in unifying its shore-based networks and data management to improve capability and service while also saving significant dollars by focusing efforts under one enterprise network.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
The ideal candidate will work as an integral member of a government/contractor team providing support for all aspects of personnel security. Duties may include studying, investigating, preparing reports and policy recommendations for actions in areas related to industry personnel security practices and standards. Additionally, they will participate in guiding and supporting the application of industrial security measures under U.S. government national industrial security directives (i.e. ICD, NISPOM, etc.). The candidate will execute the overall personnel security program for the customer involving, but not limited to, security clearance processing, access control, visitor/conference control, document control/maintenance, and data entry.
US Citizen with a current Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with active Top Secret Security Clearance, SCI eligibility is preferred
Bachelor's degree with at least 4 years of prior relevant experience
Experience applying security in the government or cleared government contractor industry, construction quality assurance, or hands on supervisory construction experience
Ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical audiences via both verbal and written communications (e.g., technical writing, procedural development, requirements analysis)
Experience with managing large and complex projects
Process oriented with attention to detail; ability to work collaboratively as part of both small and large teams; excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience in Industrial Security FSO
Knowledge of NISPOM, Intelligence Community Directives, JPAS, DISS, eQIP, NISS
Resourceful in solving problems and capitalizing on opportunities
