Leidos is seeking a Network Engineer for a position as part of a team supporting the Defense Information Security Agency (DISA) in Pensacola, FL or Fort Meade, MD. This is a full time position that will be telework friendly, but must be able to be on site in Pensacola, FL or Fort Meade, MD when needed.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Supports Cloud Engineer Lead in creating, documenting, and maintaining a UCSA Government Cloud Environment Service Design Plan with all aspects of the service throughout all stages of its lifecycle.
Identifies, analyzes, and recommends new network administrative systems for entire networks to ensure accurate network inventory and timely implementation.
Facilitation of cloud migration solutions, specifically migration to the infrastructure that incorporates utilization of the AWS Government Cloud automation tools and scripts such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar in nature.
Configuration of AWS VPCs, Subnets, and Security Groups.
Leveraging AWS tools necessary to provide migration and operations support.
Sizing, configuration of specific service instances on EC2s and ELBs, autoscaling provision.
Assists with configuring the monitoring solution in AWS environment for Linux and Windows servers instances.
Maintains gold images/scripts.
Assists with reporting on current infrastructure status, and planning for future usage.
Leverages skills including AWS, Linux experience, RDS, MySQL, NoSQL and PHP.
Sets up and utilizes the Rout Tables.
Configures the cloud network management systems to monitor, diagnose, control, and measure performance of multiple services instances.
Responsible for deploying service instances to be operating in the newly built UCSA cloud environment at the Impact Level 5 (IL-5).
The Cloud Network Engineer will provide technical leadership in the planning, investigation, design, and implementation of physical and logical communications solutions having network-wide impact.
Influences team members, the customer, and vendors to define, analyze, and provide solutions for the customer’s voice, data, and image communications requirements.
Will participate in and influence marketing proposals and studies by providing costing models, reports, and technical solutions for network-wide projects.
Plans, designs, and implements network managements systems to monitor, diagnose, control, and measure performance of multiple communication networks.
Identifies and recommends new design tools for use in communications projects, and evaluates projected corporate network usage and provides and implements media solutions.
Bachelor's of Art or Bachelor's of Science in a technical discipline; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience.
Demonstrated expertise in Federal Government Network Management is absolutely necessary.
Experience in deploying and maintaining cloud networks.
Experience with AWS/GovCloud
Qualified IA personnel IAW DoD 8570/DoD 8140, minimum IAT II.
Active Secret Clearance Required with ability to obtain a Top Secret.
Must be a US Citizen.
Experience with setup and configurations of AWS app systems instances.
Experience with DISA Network Enclaves.
