Leidos is seeking a Senior Executive Legal Office Assistant to work on-site in support of the Civil Rights Division in Washington, DC. You will work in a fast-paced and diverse environment and will have a management team that encourages your career development and growth.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • The Senior Executive Legal Office Assistant needs to demonstrate extensive administrative assistant experience to support the Civil Rights Division Front Office.  This is a very “high visibility “support role providing administrative support services to the Division Deputy Assistant Attorney Generals or the Assistant Attorney General directly.  

  • Works under the supervision of a Project Manager. types, edits, corrects, etc. documents, charts, tables, etc. as required.

  • Generates travel vouchers, correspondence, voice over calls, Responsible for routine file maintenance, including maintaining backup copies of original files, as well as working files.

  • Performs quality control over own work of peers.

  • Performs simple maintenance on office machines such as copiers and fax machines.

  • Organizes and maintains correspondence files.

  • Works fairly independently; does not require constant, close supervision.

  • May serve in a coordinating role for a pool of Word Processors, monitoring workload and progress, and performing quality control.

Please Note:  Must be able to work onsite 5 days a week in Washington, DC (once temporary Pandemic Remote work is over OR when asked to return in the office).  

Basic Qualificatons (Required Skills):

  • At least two years of word processing experience, including one year in the specific office automation environment required (e.g. JCON 2a, MS Word Office 12 / Microsoft Office 2003).

  • Must be able to type a minimum rate of 65 wpm with an accuracy rate of 95%.

  • High School diploma or GED required.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.

  • Ability to produce highest quality work under extreme pressure.

  • Must be a US Citizen.

  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior government experience helpful.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software programs (i.e. Word, and Excel) strongly preferred.

  • Experience generating / submitting travel vouchers.

  • Current or active clearance.
