More About the Role:
The NGEN-R SMIT NMCI Global Logistics team has an opening for Logistics Coordinators to oversee and coordinate material requirements and staging in support of active projects and proposals. The coordinator will assess the availability of materials and when unavailable, coordinate procurement to ensure on-time availability. The Logistics Coordinator will have oversight for the flow of goods, services, and information between the warehouse(s) through project location in order to meet customer requirements as well as ensure the execution and improvement of established processes.

What You'll Get to Do:
•Evaluating requirements and establishing project schedules for labor and material resources in support of SMIT projects.
•Ensuring the accountability of project materials against respective projects. 
•Validating that transferred Government-owned assets are controlled and accounted for in both the SILO Inventory Management System and Asset Management System.
•Evaluation of inventories status.
•Tracking shipments.
•Developing processes and procedures. 
•Ensuring accuracy of data. 
•Directly interacting with the NCMI procurement team.
•Monitoring and tracking purchases.
•Coordinating with the Leidos Property Team for identification and tagging of Government-owned or Contractor-Acquired Property.
•Coordinating with remote Material Coordinator teams.
•Shipping and receiving of assets.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:
-Requires High School Diploma or equivalent and 3-5 years of prior relevant experience.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
•Experience with SILO Inventory Management System.
•Experience with FAR/DFAR Government Property Management requirements.
