The Government Health and Safety Solutions Operation is currently seeking a junior Java Developer to support a large healthcare contract.
The candidate will be responsible for gathering and understanding business requirements, translate those requirements into technical and functional requirements, creating efficient designs, development, and unit testing of java technology based applications in an Agile development environment. The java based application architectures include web applications, webservices, batch applications, and database operations. Applicant must demonstrate the ability to work independently or under only general direction. Candidate must be familiar with Agile Software Development methodologies. Candidate must translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications. Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications. Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems. Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation. Critique code of others by participating in peer reviews. Must be able to work with minimal supervision
Apache Axis 1.x, Apache CXF, JAX-WS, WS-Security, JAXB, iText, POI Framework, Spring batch, Web application integration with REST Services, and Web application design, API Design. Candidate should be familiar with single sign on technologies, AWS Cloud Computing and Spring Cloud components for Microservices (Netflix Zuul, Eureka, Config Server, Ribbon client, FEIGN client, etc.).
BS degree or equivalent experience and 2 years prior relevant experience. Experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
All candidates supporting the CMS programs must have lived in the United States at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years prior in order to be considered.
