Leidos is seeking a Proposal Support Intern in Reston, VA.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Leidos is seeking a year round or 9 month intern.  The Intern for Proposal Operations will support a Leidos Proposal Manager within the Strategy & Business Development’s Capture Operations & Excellence Group. This role is to support Competitive Proposal bids on proposals ranging from $100M to over multibillion dollars. Candidate should be able to support all Lines of Business as needed, to include Defense, Intelligence, Civil, and Health. The intern would perform various, critical duties, to include coordinating a technical section of the proposal under direction from proposal leadership. This activity would involve ongoing engagement with technical subject matter experts to encourage and report on their progress and, as necessary, edit their work products for review by proposal leadership. The intern would receive research and writing assignments for multiple proposal sections. Other responsibilities would involve executing anticipated and impromptu assignments from the proposal manager to facilitate planning, scheduling, and implementing proposal activity. Additional requirements include learning tasks related to the Leidos Win Plan. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for assessing and ensuring compelling, complete, and compliant proposal responses reflect win strategy elements and align to evaluation factors and criteria.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Learn the Leidos WinPlan
•Coordinate proposal sections with multiple team members
•Engage technical Subject Matter Experts and possibly write about those engagements
•Report progress
•Edit written documents
•Research and write assignments
•Facilitate planning, scheduling and implement activities according to the Leidos WinPlan

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
•Actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Project and Proposal or equivalent with a minumum 3.0 GPA
•Excellent writing, communication, and organization skills
•Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
•Must have the ability to work independently in a fast-changing, high-pressure environment
•Must be a team player who brings excellent written and oral communications skills
•Work effectively with proposal leadership and technical subject matter experts
•Willing to learn and pick up new concepts
•Flexibility required to work some evenings and weekends
•U.S. Citizenship is required
