Job Description:

The Cyber Analysis Support Specialist will serve on a computer network operations (CNO) intelligence team, focused on the threat to networked weapons platforms and US and DoD information networks.  The Analyst will collaborate with analytical counterparts, across the U.S. Intelligence Community, apply knowledge of threat environment, open-source tools, and current implementation of threat technologies in order to devise all-source analytic/collection strategies to pursue access and exploitation of targets of interest.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Be familiar with intelligence and Cybersecurity linkages to identify issues of interest. 
  • Be able to perform research, and analysis related to network intrusion techniques, tools, and tactics, as well as cyber frameworks to characterize adversary activities. 
  • Must be well be well versed in intrusion sets, cyber threat analysis, signature generation, pivoting and creating tradecraft.
  • Demonstrate expertise in all forms of analysis reporting and experience with creating each product type.
  • Must have working knowledge of commercial data feeds such as VirusTotal, FireEye, DomainTools, Maltego, and PassiveTotal.
  • Communications skills that include the ability to provide formal documentation of analysis and/or research results
  • A SME in one or more fields appropriate to Intelligence Analysis or Computer Networking technologies.
  • Serve as a SME for working groups and meetings with partner organizations/agencies.
  • Perform Internet Research.
  • Writing and editing skills at a technical/professional level.
  • Manage internal and external customer relations.
  • Be an effective writer and verbal communicator.

This work will be performed at a customer site near Fort Meade, Maryland


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • UNITED STATES CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED. THIS POSITION REQUIRES AN ACTIVE TOP SECRET/SCI WITH POLYGRAPH CLEARANCE.
  • Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts/Sciences (or related field) and 8+ years of related experience.
  • Work experience must include 4+ years of Intelligence analysis experience within the DoD/IC.
  • Experience with relevant CNO and SIGINT tools and databases used for the customer mission, and communications skills that include the ability to provide formal documentation of analysis and/or research results.
  • Analysis experience with DNI/DNR. Military Experience.
  • SIGINT Serialized Reporting experience required.

Desired Skills/Experience:

  • -Familiarity with NSA Dual Authorities, SIGINT, NetDef analytic tools and repositories as well as adherence to NSA oversight and compliance regimens
  • -Working knowledge of agency tools, including DX, XKEYSCORE, CLEARVISION, IDSCOREBOARD, Targetprofiler, CYBERCOP, Device Navigator, ROCKSTAR, and BOMBASTICYAK
  • -At a minimum, a basic capability to understand XYKEYSCORE GENESIS fingerprints
  • -Knowledge and experience working with MITRE ATT&CK framework, cybersecurity indicators of of compromise.  Ability to read and understand SNORT, Yara/{BRO ZEEK} signatures
