Leidos is seeking a Counterintelligence (CI) Security Director to join our Corporate Security team in Reston, VA.

Job Description
The position is responsible for implementing and providing guidance to customers and management on security issues within the scope of counterintelligence, insider threat, and security-related investigations. Duties may include studying, investigating, preparing reports, and making recommendations for preventative or corrective actions in areas requiring specific expertise.

Primary Responsibilities
•Directs activities having significant impact on the achievement of results for the project/function.
•Work requires a high degree of responsibility for resources and frequently influences organizational or operational decisions made by leadership.
•Problems and issues faced are complex and often involve limited information.
•Problems are highly complex and typically involve multiple business groups, projects, or customers.
•Leads a team of experts that deters, detects and defends against threats of espionage, theft of trade secrets/intellectual property, intelligence collection, terrorism and other potential risks to Leidos’ critical assets, technologies, programs and personnel.
•Will lead independent inquiries into allegations of insider threat activities (espionage, data exfiltration, sabotage, fraud, workplace violence) and security related proceedings.
•Directs a team of experts in conducting and documenting interviews with employees who present or report insider threat, counterintelligence or security concerns.
•Negotiates and influences others to understand and accept new concepts, practices and approaches on the evaluation of threats, identification of vulnerabilities, adverse impacts, and development of risk mitigation measures to protect critical assets, programs, sites and Leidos employees.
•Produces awareness briefings, debriefings, and training activities related to CI activities and threat information to inform employees on insider threats and their related indicators.
•Responsible for creating workforce and budgetary plans to ensure efficient use of resources.
•Partners with US Government and commercial entities on threat and vulnerability information to enhance response efforts and outcomes.
•Candidates must be able to travel to Quantico MCB once a week or as necessary (reimbursable).
•Candidates must be able to travel OCONUS.

Basic Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from an accredited university with 12 -15 years or Masters with 10 -13 years of prior relevant experience.
•Accreditation from a Federal Law Enforcement Agency or Armed Services.
•Related experience must be in CI investigations.
Requirements
•Experience with software applications such as Microsoft Access, Excel, Power Point, Publisher, and Word.
•Developing and delivering educational/prevention material and comfortable during public speaking.
•OPSEC Level II or OPSE2380/2390 certification.
•Highly-developed skills in oral and written communication to provide information, expert advice, and guidance; persuade others to consider recommendation to make/argue a position; explain abstract concepts and facts clearly and effectively to share with various entities of the intelligence community and Leidos’ stakeholders. Must be able to draft complex reports of investigations, OPSEC assessments, risk mitigation plans, and relevant products to the field.
•Experience conducting unclassified open source checks through non-attributed systems.
•Current Top Secret government security clearance and eligibility for SCI is required. 
•US citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications
•Substantial knowledge of the Intelligence Community’s and investigative program operations, procedures, techniques, and terminology; development and presentation of information; and the proper fulfillment of related risks.
•Substantial knowledge of the Intelligence Community resources and a master in acquiring information from intelligence sources to ensure that the information developed is complete, and, where possible, corroborated for accuracy.
•Familiarity with high threat countries/regions, intentions, strategy, and international affairs.
•Detail-oriented and be able to identify information of interest upon instruction.
•Experience with public source databases such as Thomson Reuters, Accurint, Lexis Nexis, Dataminr, Authentic8, or Sprinklr.
•Experience with analytical tools such as Palantir, analyst notebook, VISIO.
