Job Description:
The Defense Health Operation of Leidos is currently looking for Diving Hyperbaric Support Technicians for the Diving Department at the Naval Submarine Medical Research Laboratory (NSMRL) in Groton, CT. NSMRL conducts research and investigates the effects of medical, psychological, and performance issues associated with the health and performance of naval personnel in operational and non-operational settings.
Primary Responsibilities
The ideal candidate shall:
Provide assistance in maintaining and operating hyper/hypobaric systems.
Provide support executing administrative and maintenance on hyper/hypobaric systems.
Support establishment and maintain a comprehensive operational Diving Smooth Log for the Command. This record establishes the diving history for the Command and constitutes the basic record requirements under normal, uneventful circumstances;
Provide support for the proper maintenance of all records and Command Diving Chamber Smooth logs that are evidence of actual diving operations.
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent and 2-4 years of prior relevant experience
Previous qualifications with U.S. Navy recompression chamber operations; U.S. Navy SCUBA diving operations; U.S. Navy Surface Supplied diving operations
Experience and/or familiarity with the U.S. Navy Quality Assurance Program and Maintenance Program, the U.S. Navy Diving Program, and Personnel Qualification Standard of Navy Divers
Ability to routinely lift and carry up to 25 lbs. and climb stairs. Work may involve bending, stooping, and working in confined areas; potential exposure to low-level hazardous agents that may be of a physical, chemical or biological nature.
Microsoft Office skills

Bachelors degree
Experience within a Government or military organization.
