The ARIES INSCOM G6 Leidos provides IT repair, maintenance, operations, logistics, and engineering services to ensure secure, reliable, and uninterrupted availability of Army Military Intelligence Enterprise IT Systems. We are looking for a talented Field Service Technician (FST) to support the program at the JBLM Ft. Lewis, WA.
Primary Responsibilities
Assist the modification and/or enhancement the IT System in compliance with the organization’s standards, business practices and appropriate DoD, Army, and IC guidelines.
Conduct scheduled backups of the organization’s data in accordance with best business processes.
Responsible for satellite acquisition and maintaining of satellite antennas.
Configure and maintain satellite modems.
Employ IT network and systems performance monitoring and diagnostics tools to ensure compliance with System Availability requirements and efficient operation.
Execute business processes for the ordering, receipt, delivery, disposal and tracking of IT equipment and supplies.
Execute day-to-day operations and monitoring of the organization’s IT Systems to ensure reliable, uninterrupted access and availability.
Insure the security of the systems and materials up to a US-only, top secret/sensitive-compartmented information (TS/SCI) level and performs technical encryption by installation, operation, configuration, synchronization, diagnostic testing and repair of sensitive, complex, US-only encryption devices consisting of KG-175Ds.
Execute the Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) processes, to include IAVM acknowledgment, completion of corrective action, and final reporting. May configure and test IT Equipment to ensure it complies with security policy, procedures, and technical requirements.
Maintain integrity of the operating system; respond to service outages and other problems; develop operating scripts to support assigned tasks; conduct system software upgrades including planning and scheduling, testing, and coordination; sets up and administers workstations and servers; provide disk space planning and management, and network storage administration; monitor and maintain continuity with system software licensing and maintenance agreements; and maintains Firewall and Intrusion Detection Systems.
Maintain database management systems (DBMS) including database software installation and configuration; maintenance; problem analysis; and troubleshooting.
Perform scheduled maintenance in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommended service intervals, alerts and bulletins, patches and updates, as well as other sources.
Provide preventive and remedial maintenance for the organization’s IT System. Conducts systematic inspection, detection, and correction of incipient failures either before they occur or before they develop into major defects.
Provide visual and audio multimedia services, schedules VTC sessions, and manages the operation of the organization's VTC facilities and equipment.
Basic Qualifications
BS Degree with 2-4 years of related experience. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. .
Current DoD 8140/8570.1-M IAT/IAM Baseline Certification IAT Level II –
Current Security+|CE, DoD 8570 Computing
Active DoD TS/SCI security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
Experience maintaining Windows 7, Server 2008 R2, and Server 2012 R2 platforms.
Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), MCITP: Enterprise Administrator on Windows Server 2008/2012.
