The AIMES Group at Leidos currently has an opening for a Systems Intergration Engineer to work in our Beavercreek, OH office. This is an exciting opportunity to use analytical skills and technical experience in the dynamic field of Full Motion Video development and deployment. We are seeking engineers experienced with Linux, Windows, and VMware administration. You will build and manage multiple operating systems; provide technical planning, systems analysis, system integration, custom application integration and validation, customer field support (including occasional international and CONUS travel to customer locations). The work will be accomplished across a range of direct contracts, internal research and development, and indirect tasks.
Develop and use scripting and automation tools to create efficiencies across entire infrastructure.
Research solutions to complex problems and/or incorporate emerging technologies into existing infrastructure to create efficiencies and optimizations.
Create/Edit documents for system build, installation, operation, maintenance and troubleshooting.
Perform system analysis to isolate faults in bare metal and virtual environments and for purposes of performance optimization and catastrophe mitigation.
Analyze the system in collaboration with the AIMES engineering team to ensure that all software is compatible with or meets customer security standards, including the ability to work with CA signed certificates.
Engineer protocols to ensure compliance with customer’s IT security standards and requirements.
Collaborate with AIMES Software engineers to ensure that all software is compatible with or meets customer security standards including the ability to work with CA signed certificates.
Ensure all new AIMES features and releases function properly within the customer’s environment, including Active Directory/LDAP Integration and other dependent subsystems.
Define and document requirements for new system capabilities and features associated with motion imagery processing, exploitation and dissemination.
Write technical content for maintenance manuals including installation, test, repair, and troubleshooting procedures.
Perform installation, configuration, and testing of newly delivered software for purposes of integration and release testing, and deployment to customer sites
Create, track, and update operations and help desk tickets using tracking software
Bachelor's degree (or 4 years of experience in lieu of degree) and 4-8 years of relevant experience.
MS Windows, Linux, and VMware administration experience
Experience in systems integration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex system problems
Experience with Unix scripting and Power Shell
Ability to obtain an 8570 Certification within 6 months of hire date
Ability to verbally communicate effectively in one-on-one and group environments
Work well within a team and independently with minimal supervision
Ability to work within a dynamic work environment and the ability to multi-task
Security clearance requirement: Active TS clearance
Experience in network administration
Experience with Systems Integration, application deployment, and evaluation
Experience with Software development build tools and processes (Jenkins, Git, Github, Bitbucket)
Experience with automated CM and Automation tools such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible, and Foreman
Experience with digital video systems and/or software
Experience with securing systems and evaluating security compliance (Tenable, Nessus, SCAP)
Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as ELK Stack, Nagios, or Grafana
