Leidos is pleased to announce that it has been awarded the Navy Service Management, Integration and Transport (SMIT) program. This is an eight-year, $7.7 billion contract that is responsible for maintaining and modernizing the main global network of the Navy and Marine Corps.
Leidos is looking to hire an OEM Fortinet SME -in Quantico, VA to join our newly awarded SMIT program.
Under the Service Management, Integration, and Transport program(SMIT), the Leidos team will deliver the core backbone of the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet, including cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk, and data transport. Ultimately, Leidos will support the Navy in unifying its shore-based networks and data management to improve capability and service while also saving significant dollars by focusing efforts under one enterprise network.
The selected candidate will serve as the primary technical expert for vendor solutions and for enterprise-wide assistance engineering support solutions and products. Additional job duties and responsibilities include:
Perform direct reach back into vendor research, development, and technical support teams to ensure effective design and application in the production environment.
Provide dedicated support and perform solution development and engineering work in the Storage Engineering and Virtualization functional areas.
Provide subject matter expertise on policies, industry trends, techniques related to monitoring and penetration testing of systems
Monitor security tools Tenable, McAfee ePO, LogRhythm, Varions and Palo Alto Firewalls. Correlating. reports, and other appropriate information sources to identify incidents, issues, threats, and vulnerabilities.
Provide situational awareness briefs for NTIA Leadership and appropriate stakeholders.
Perform analysis of results from credentialed and un-credentialed scans for each NTIA FISMA system. Perform analysis of network traffic to identify security events and indicators of compromise.
Provides risk analysis for vulnerabilities and incidents indicating any special issues the vulnerability or incident may present to NTIA systems and resources.
Recommends enhancements or changes to the NTIA ISCM (CDM) security infrastructure and processes to reduce systemic risk to the organization assets and data.
Provides expertise and guidance to NTIA customers, business owners and FISMA system stakeholders with regard to secure development, implementation and operation of systems, or enhancement of systems supporting the NTIA mission.
Provides Security and Privacy expertise to assist NTIA with research and response to security and privacy incidents.
Bachelors Degree in IT or related field of study and a minimum of 8 years of experience
Active secret clearance
Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II
Experience resolving emergent issues with NetApp solutions, systems, and technologies.
Experience operating and designing NetApp Storage solutions, preferably on large enterprise DoD networks.
Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level III or Information Assurance System Architecture and Engineering (IASAE) II preferred.
