Objectives summary:
Support Leidos General Automation build competence and capability in virtual commissioning technologies. Responsible for driving the transition to digital ways of working, developing internal and customer specifications, ensuring safety adherence, improving quality processes, coordinating team members and reporting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) within the Robotics, Vision and Artificial Intelligence systems department.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Leading creative thinking, generating, and developing concepts that provide an original, appropriate, and effective solution to the requirement brief.
Planning, organising and scoping projects of all sizes, delegating tasks effectively to deliver on time and on budget.
Responsible for daily management and support for the team to achieve operational success.
Communicate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) from the strategic annual plan so that each employee is aware of expectations and deliverables.
Monitor the completion of tasks and ensure good performance and record on appropriate systems.
Providing technical leadership and implementation guidance.
Development of best practices and training materials on the usage and authoring of work instructions within the team.
Work to ensure people and resources are applied in an efficient and effective manner to meet delivery requirements while achieving quality and safety standards.
Ensure that team members follow defined standard procedures and comply with quality requirements.
Identify and deploy the technical skill sets, resource levels and systems to deliver projects, including the engagement of external resources as required.
Undertake and deliver continuous improvement and training.
Ensure the team are aware of Day-to-day tasks and Targets and give feedback to the Senior Management.
Support and implement continuous improvement activities.
Monitor time and attendance and ensure compliance with company procedures.
Consistently promote high standards through personal example, setting standards and behaviors expected of the team while ensuring team members are achieving first class quality and safety standards.
Provide product expertise within a team and respond to team member queries.
Work positively with support functions to define processes/procedures/controls relevant to team activities.
Education and/or knowledge, experience
Proficient using and configuring Process Simulate Robot Studio and RoboGuide.
The ability to write robotic code and functions in languages such as RAPID, KRL, Karel, etc.
Demonstrate project management and/or maintenance, experience.
Working knowledge of machine safety.
Working knowledge of layout design and Ergonomics.
Programming experience in VBA & C#
Working knowledge of Allen Bradley & Siemens PLC programming.
Working knowledge of SCADA applications and programming.
Ability to read electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical drawings.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
A Meticulous attention to detail.
Strong computer skills, experienced with MS Office, Project, SharePoint and or Teams.
Working knowledge of Teamcenter and/or another PLM tool and advantage.
