The Defense Group of Leidos has an excellent opportunity for an experienced, self-directed, Virtual Infrastructure (VI) Systems Engineer in Stuttgart, Germany in support of the CITS III program.  

PROGRAM SUMMARY:
This program provides critical Communications and Information Technology Services to support U.S. Africa Command, U.S. European Command, Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa, Southern European Task Force, and associated staff elements and organizations.  It provides our war fighters support in their mission to keep threats and vulnerabilities as low as possible by ensuring their computer network is stable, undisrupted, secure and will require some OCONUS travel.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:
•Must have an active Secret Clearance and be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Perform data center infrastructure network engineering and design on a geographically dispersed enterprise network.
•Provide engineering efforts in the lifecycle of projects to include documentation, design, build, integrate, transition, implementation, test, and training for transitioned to IT Operations Management.  
•Analyze and providing recommendations for hardware and software life cycle and standardization for the enterprise and recommend best-practice solutions for datacenter and virtual infrastructure technologies.
•Demonstrate experience and a strong engineering background in design, implementation and migration of Data Center technologies to include Cisco NEXUS products, Cisco UCS, Cisco UCS Manager, Fabric Interconnects, NETAPP storage solutions/ SAN configurations, FCOE, VMWARE, ESXi, SNAP mirroring.
•Familiar with private cloud virtualization and virtual networks in VMWare environments using hyperflex solutions to support Citrix VDI environments would be desirable.
•Communicate clearly and succinctly both written and orally, and present products, solutions and ideas in a business-like manner and be experienced in interfacing with customers, client managers and system users.
•Work in dynamic fast paced environment that requires team interaction and coordination of efforts including remote site support and/or travel to customer servers and sites as required.
•Provide remote support and/or travel to customer sites as required. 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
•BA/BS and 4 years recent specialized or AA/AS and 8 years recent specialized or a major cert 9 years recent specialized or 11 years of recent specialized experience.
•Demonstrated extensive knowledge of VI environments and the continued operation of a large scale VI deployment.
•Must have current VMWare Certified Professional – Data Center Virtualization (VPC-DCV).
•Must have DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification prior to start date (Sec+).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
•ITIL v3 or v4 – Foundation.
•Experience with Citrix licensing.
•Additional certifications: MCSE, CCNA, CCNP, Netapp, etc.
•Understanding of Department of Defense Military standards.
•Experience with DoD IT security requirements.
•Proficiency in PowerShell scripting.
•Experience in the evaluation and integration of new technologies into existing environments.
