The Leidos Intelligence Group has a career opportunity for an experienced Backend Java Software Developer on our Leidos-led program in Annapolis Junction, MD. Come work in our state of the art Leidos facility!
As a Software Developer on our team you will have the opportunity to participate on a high-visibility DoD/Intel program that provides software design, development, and component testing to an important customer in the cyber arena. More specifically, it has been the development contract for a major systems acquisition program within the one of the DoD's premier cyberwarfare organizations to modernize the infrastructure used for managing its mission. This group of elite Cyber professionals is now focused on developing the next generation of cutting-edge Computer Network Operations (CNO) mission management capabilities.
You will be responsible for developing, testing, and integrating custom business logic for a mission approval system. This includes working in an Agile/Scrum environment. You will be expected to develop features within two week sprints, participate in the code reviews of other developers, and respond to mission requirements as they are generated from the operational customer.
To be successful in this role you will need experience with:
- Server side Java development
- Spring Framework and related technologies, including: Spring Data, Spring MVC, and Spring Boot•
- Capable of thorough unit and integration code testing using Java unit testing frameworks such as Unit and Mockito
- Familiar with building REST services using Spring Boot and Spring MVC
It is desired but not required that you have experience with
- Docker, Kubernetes, or other container orchestration frameworks
- Experience constructing systems using micro services and breaking down monoliths
- Experience using Enterprise Integration Patterns (EIP) and their related frameworks such as Apache Camel and Spring integration
Active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field of study and twelve (12) or more years related experience
In lieu of technical degree an additional four (4) years of experience for a total of 16 years of experience will be required
A firm understanding of modern computer programming with a minimum of ten (10) years experience in programming and providing direction for the design and development of application software for complex systems; software testing as well as solving varied software related problems; and generating and reviewing software design for accuracy, completeness and appropriateness in light of objectives, budge and schedule.
