Leidos has a current opening in the Austin Information Technology Center (AITC) for a Program Manager supporting Veterans Affairs Enterprise Command Operations (ECO) initiatives of the Veteran's Administration (VA) Office of Information Technology (OIT). This is an advanced opportunity to use your Program Management knowledge and skills to support the Veterans Affairs Enterprise Command Operations (ECO) and IOSS initiatives. Work is performed onsite in Austin, Texas.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
A Program Manager must have experience with diverse IT projects, both large and small, and must be able to manage a portfolio of projects. Candidate must be well versed in full systems development life cycle, principles of IT Service Management, enterprise wide network engineering, strategic information planning, business process reengineering, and a variety of management practices, including Agile, DevSecOps and CCPM. This position must be able to identify, articulate, and mitigate risks to the program. Must be able to manage cost, scheduling, and performance using suitable and repeatable methods.
Additional responsibilities include:
Manage the full lifecycle of applications and systems projects for Enterprise Command Operations, from requirements intake to full solution development and delivery
Evaluate, determine, and document specific requirements related to ECO monitoring projects and translate those requirements into a roadmap with target release dates
Provide leadership and oversight of multiple project managers and their assigned projects
Compile program data and provide a report of project status, milestones, challenges, and accomplishments
Determine and manage project schedules utilizing prescribed methodologies and tools, including Agile and CCPM (Critical Chain Project Management)
Provide routine reporting of project milestones, risks, impediments, and escalation requirements
Present to leadership, stakeholders and/or governance groups the vision and strategy of the project, roadmap of planned deliveries, and capabilities to be delivered in each release
Conduct cross-organizational coordination as required in support of project delivery
Expedite and coordinate services to assist in managing complex enterprise projects
Manage assigned tasks to completion within the schedule, budget, and scope of the project
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED – REQUIRED:
Master’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business or related scientific /technical discipline with 15 years of applicable experience or 10 years additional relevant experience substituted for education
U.S. Citizenship and/or Green card
Project Management Institute – Agile Certified Practitioner
Certified Scrum Master
