The Consulting Employee (CE) will provide program execution, strategic consulting, and business development, support by maintaining an understanding of major programs, risks, and personnel hiring and retention challenges across the Leidos CBRNE and Training Portfolio.

Primary Responsibilities

The CE will support the implementation of compliance of Leidos program execution policy, which includes supporting oversight activities and programs through regular reviews and deep dives, as well as regular involvement in program execution issues. Additionally, the CE may be asked to support program start up/transition activities, program reviews, and captures for opportunities requiring targeted, specialized expertise.

Additional duties include:

- Mentoring and training of program managers.   Training may include one-on-one mentoring or sessions in the form of lunch time learning sessions as well as the generation and delivery of training material for new PMs.

-Being a liaison and expediter for PMs and functional support including, but not limited to Procurement, Contracts, Business Development, Personnel Management, Accounts Payable and Finance.  Supporting the development of opportunity capture strategy by participation in large and critical capture activities such as collaboration sessions, price to win, and other reviews and meetings.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required with strong background in defense systems (or subsystems) and 12+ years of prior relevant experience in program management.

Strong verbal and written skills along with a solid practical knowledge of complex CBRNE and Training programs.

Experience with financial management for DoD programs is required.

Candidate must have strong leadership credentials, good organizational skills, attention to detail and work well as a key member of a team often tasked to be highly responsive and agile in order to satisfy critical needs.
