Job Description:
Leidos is looking for a Software Developer for a position in the Herndon, VA area. This position requires an active TS/SCI with Polygraph in order to be considered.
Leidos needs a developer to work with a team of developers to develop a system to automate the creation of Virtual Private Cloud (VPCs) in the AWS cloud. The effort will create workflows and scripts to process VPC creation requests from the ServiceNow based request system. The requests are sent to the network team’s automation tool for processing. The task involves developing systems on multiple networks at multiple classification levels. The Software developer will work closely with other developers and systems engineers. The Software developer will develop automated workflow and scripts to process VPC creation requests. The Software developer will develop test procedures and scenarios. The Software developer will execute test plans. The software developer will ensure new applications and software modifications meet requirements. The software developer will ensure developed software operates satisfactorily in the network environment.
Mandatory Skills:
Requires BS degree and 2 – 4 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.
Demonstrated experience in Linux to include basic commands, scripting and application deployment and support
Demonstrated experience developing/maintaining applications utilizing object oriented and procedural programming languages, to include Java and JavaScript
Demonstrated experience with the systems development lifecycle
Demonstrated experience using Agile development methodologies
Demonstrated experience working with and writing APIs
Desired Skills:
Demonstrated experience working with ServiceNow
Demonstrated experience scripting in Python
Demonstrated on-the-job experience working in an Agile environment
Demonstrated experience using Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) via the command line
Demonstrated experience applying XML schemas
Demonstrated experience using cloud infrastructure and technologies
Demonstrated experience participating in the system certifications processes (SSP, A&A)
Demonstrated experience working with multiple networks and classification levels
