The Defense Group at Leidos has a dynamic job for a Program Manager to work in our Beavercreek, OH office. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience to support fielding new systems and products in support of various emerging US Air Force (USAF) Life Cycle Management Center (LCMC) and Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) programs related to the AgilePod® family of systems.  In this role, you will have opportunities to provide technical and operational analysis of new and evolving sensor systems, assess advanced sensor technologies, and provide ground and flight demonstrations/tests. Additionally, you’ll explore and perform sensor system integration into laboratories, aircraft, and other aero-structures, such as the AgilePod® family of systems.

•Serve as the Program Manager on a new USAF weapon system in early design phases with first prototype being delivered early 2022. 
•You’ll be on the ground floor building up the enterprise solution for scalable flexible ISR across the USAF and DoD airborne platforms serving as the lead for reliability and shaping the USAF posture in this space for podded systems. 
•Have influence on how the DoD performs various missions with podded systems, ability to assist with rapid insertion to ops, and other valuable contributions.

THE CHALLENGE
•Provide Project Management oversight of the AgilePod®16 Maturation Program: a multi-phased effort for both low performance and high performance podded prototype development, testing and fielding for a newly established ACAT III program of record for AFLCMC.
•Design, develop, oversee and manage the day-to-day execution aspects of current and future projects while serving as a liaison between program management and government customers.
•Provide and review status of projects and budgets 
•Manage schedules and prepare status reports for review to AFRL and AFLCMC customers
•Assesses project issues and develop resolutions to meet cost, schedule and performance objectives
•Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with program managers and customers
•Administratively provide, track, and maintain status of CDRLs pertaining to contractual efforts
•Work with government and contractor counterparts to support engineering design efforts, follow on production, and developmental and operational flight test demonstration efforts as applicable. 
•Assist in producing or reviewing documents for program office use that support the breadth of the projects acquisition and lifecycle sustainment.

                                                                                            

WHAT SETS YOU APART (job qualifications)
•A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 8 yrs. of relevant work experience, or a Masters with a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience.
•Knowledge, experience and demonstrated ability to perform independently in the position as a Program Manager
•Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work and lead as part of a multi-disciplined team.
•Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Office applications.
•Successfully work with all levels of engineering, logistics, program management, program leadership, AFLCMC directorates and headquarters, AFRL, HQ AFMC, prime contractors and subcontractors, and other government and private sector  personnel
•Up to 10% CONUS travel

Security Clearance Requirement
•A security clearance is not required to start. If you do not have a current clearance, you will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for a DoD Secret.
•Must be a U.S. Citizen

YOU MIGHT ALSO HAVE (preferred)
•Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level II or higher in DoD Acquisition
•Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
•Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering Discipline
•Microsoft Project Experience
•Familiarity with IMP/IMS, WBS, and control account structure and earned value analysis.
•Earned value calculations, cost and schedule integration.
