The Security Detection & Automation (SD&A) business unit currently has an opening for a “Senior Project Coordinator” to support ongoing VACIS product development and product delivery activities.

Position Summary

The Senior Project Coordinator (Sr. PC) position supports the Client Services Remediation Program Management Office (PMO) in program execution and assists the PMO Director in ensuring a consistent, superior client experience. The Sr. PC is a subject matter expert for the PMO and holds ownership over key metrics. In addition to helping support the PMO in overall program execution, the Sr. PC will partner with several internal key departments including, but not limited to: Product Development, Software Engineering, Finance, Manufacturing and Client Services.

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Program Execution – Support Program Managers and PMO Director in program execution. This includes internal factory testing of various equipment as well as supporting site acceptance testing and customer acceptance in the field. Upon transition to product support, monitor product field reliability to ensure full customer satisfaction.

  • Day to day POC with the customer for active contracts.

  • Ensure that all programs run within scope, time, and budget constraints.

  • Interface with task and functional leaders, subcontractors, and support personnel.

  • Responsible for driving new and variant VACIS product development initiatives to completion / production readiness in support of near term customer procurement efforts.

  • Client Communication – Respond to client communications timely and accurately; understand client needs and feedback, collaborate and consult with clients and/or support program managers in doing so; follow up and communicate client's needs internally.

  • Develop product specifications against customer and derived requirements.

  • Lead engineering resources to develop product to meet or exceed defined requirements.

  • Communicate contract requirements to functional teams via regular project meetings

  • Ensure product design meets the technical, cost and schedule metrics as provided by management.

  • Lead product specific contract proposal efforts towards successful award.

  • Reporting & Documentation –Tracking for monthly and quarterly business reviews and assemble and circulate accompanying presentation decks/other materials;; assist in development of business processes and procedures/rules.

  • Flexibility : Going into situations without preconceived notions with a willingness to assess various options in order to determine a course of action.

  • Adaptability : Appropriately reacting to changing situations without a loss of effectiveness

  • Responsible for working with internal operational groups throughout the programs’ lifecycles and coordinating deliverables to meet project objectives.

  • Forecasting – Assist with accurate forecasting of planned revenue based on anticipated stages of work as needed.

  • Training & Mentorship – Provide training and mentorship to other team members within the PMO.

  • Special Projects – Help support internal strategic initiatives and projects by acting as a Subject Matter Expert on behalf of the PMO.

  • General understanding of industry practices and standards.

This position is responsible for fostering a team environment and building cooperation between Installation team members, and other departments to provide the highest quality standards. A critical component of the job is to manage and resolve complex tasks.

Basic Qualifications

  • Ability to pass TSA suitability background check

  • Requires a BA degree and 2 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience. 6 year experience will be considered in lieu of degree.

  • Possess at least 2 years experience working as Project Coordinator with direct client/customer contact.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional, calm demeanor.

  • Critical thinking skills and the ability to efficiently gather and process information in a fast paced environment are required

  • Experience with MS Office, specifically Word, Excel, Project ,Outlook, and Microsoft O365

Desired Experience

  • Technical background with direct Product Development experience.

  • Direct experience with non-intrusive inspection equipment.

  • Familiar with government and commercial fixed-price contracts. 

  • Coordination of product support.

  • Bilingual language skills (Spanish) a plus.
