The Leidos Tactical Solutions Team in Littleton, Colorado is growing and looking for a Chief Engineer to lead a team of engineers performing cutting edge systems engineering and integration. Primary Responsibilities
These are some of the cool things you will be doing:

  • Developing system-level solutions for current programs and new business opportunities across the Tactical Solutions Portfolio.

  • Leading technology strategy and roadmap development for the Tactical Solutions portfolio.

  • Leading Software and Systems Engineering efforts across the entire lifecycle including operational analysis, requirements, design, configuration and integration, testing, demonstration with the end-user/customer, and operational support.

  • Leading and mentoring a team of software and systems engineers.

  • Representing the team and Leidos at industry, customer, and internal events and meetings.

  • Growing your skillset through mentoring and training opportunities.

  • Other assignments as determined by the Portfolio Manager.


Basic Qualifications
To be successful in this role you must have the following: 

  • Go-getter mentality, ability to wear multiple hats, learn quickly, team-player

  • Experience leading and working in Agile Environment and Toolset

  • Systems Engineering including system architecture design experience

  • Software-Hardware Integration including working with Interface Control Documents (ICDs)

  • Network Engineering experience using a variety of systems (3G, 4G, 5G, SATCOM, Handheld Radio)

  • Test Engineering including developing, conducting, and documenting test plans, test procedures, and test reports

  • Experience developing and leading technology strategy campaigns and technical proposal efforts

  • Experience with Tactical Assault Kit / Team Awareness Kit (TAK) Development and Operations

  • Bachelors degree  in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Network Engineering, or related fieldwith 12-15 years of experience; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

  • Willingness to travel up to 25%

  • Ability to attain Top Secret Security Clearance


Preferred Qualifications
You will wow us even more if you have these skills:

  • Military Operational Experience in Expeditionary-type missions/units

  • Experience with military Integrated Tactical Network (ITN)

  • Test Engineering experience for software and network-based systems

  • Heads-Up Display System Integration and test (i.e. Microsoft Hololens, IVAS) using Unity, .NET/C#

  • Android Mobile Systems experience

  • Bluetooth Device System Integration and testing

  • Cloud Application Engineering and Configuration experience using Amazon Web Services (AWS)

  • Software Engineering including design, development, configuration, deployment, testing, and debugging

  • Object Oriented Software Development using Java, C++, C#/.NET

  • Android Development and Integration

  • Experience in applying and implementing Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning algorithms and systems for imagery and data analysis.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $110,500.00 - $170,000.00 - $229,500.00

COVID Response
