Job Description:
The Leidos Intelligence Group is seeking fully cleared Medical Administrators in support of a rewarding and challenging opportunity in an occupational healthcare medical office setting for an Intelligence Community customer. These positions will support a short-term project which is only estimated to last 3-6 months, after which options will be provided for redeploying to other positions for longer term placement if desired. Full time is desired but part time schedule requests will be considered. No prior experience working in a medical setting is required, client provides training.
Primary Responsibilities
Medical Administrators on the Heartbeat program work at client sites in the Northern Virginia region, providing a variety of office support and customer service duties within a medical office setting. Responsibilities will vary based upon the medical office’s day-to-day needs and may include a variety of duties;
- Providing front desk/reception support
- Answering phones and routing calls
- Facilitating the processing of patients by coordinating their visits
- Scheduling, managing, and disseminating personnel and patient calendars/schedules
- Ordering lab tests requested by onsite medical personnel
- Updating/filing electronic and paper medical records
- Tracking and/or replying to official government correspondence
- Providing ad hoc support to other teams as needed
- Other general office/clerical support as needed
- Providing support to the government’s pandemic response, which may include supporting the pandemic call center, vaccination clinics, conducting contact tracing, escorting medical professionals who possess a lower level clearance, etc.
Basic Qualifications
- Top Secret SCI clearance
- High School diploma and 2-10 years of experience
- Excellent verbal and communication skills
- Strong inter-personal skills and ability to interact effectively with various clientele in a customer service based environment
- Highly organized and detail oriented, ability to multi task
- Flexibility and willingness to take on new or changing duties as needed
- Must be able to work well under pressure
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience in medical administration or working in a medical office/environment
