Experience: Must have a minimum of 8 years of experience administrating and managing SAS platforms. Must have extensive experience working with analytical systems. Must possess a SAS Certified Platform Administrator Certification or equivalent.
Duties: Responsible for administrating and managing the SAS environment. Performs maintenance, configuration, and deployment of SAS based systems. Implements major software upgrades, ensuring change management procedures are implemented and followed. Responsible for incident management as it relates to SAS based platforms. Manages the interaction and integration of SAS with other systems.
Additional Job Details include:
• Secure the SAS configuration on each server machine.
• Check status and operate servers.
• Monitor server activity and administer logging.
• Establish formal, regularly scheduled backup processes.
• Add users and manage their access.
• Establish connectivity to data sources.
• Set up and secure metadata folder structures.
• Administer repositories and move metadata.
• Understand the interaction between SAS servers and operating systems
